<section id="HE97AFE574FE54F44AB1058F192644E4F" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Disabled Veterans Housing Support Act</short-title></quote>. </text></section> <section id="HD1191FD8262A4588B0B63571E7C1441F"><enum>2.</enum><header>Service connected disability compensation</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 102(a)(20) of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/5302">42 U.S.C. 5302(a)(20)</external-xref>) is amended by adding at the end the following:</text> 
<quoted-block style="OLC" id="H3D841F98DD1548AF9FC4568E09ACE933" display-inline="no-display-inline"> 
<subparagraph id="H10C1F81ED9574AAC96F3E18E547C35F6" indent="up1"><enum>(C)</enum><header>Service-connected disability compensation</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">When determining whether a person is a person of low and moderate income, a person of low income, or a person of moderate income under this paragraph, a State, unit of general local government, or Indian tribe shall exclude any service-connected disability compensation received by such person from the Department of Veterans Affairs. </text></subparagraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></section> <section id="HD6BE13FDD511479E90BA74042D0000E7"><enum>3.</enum><header>Report</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">The Comptroller General of the United States shall, not later than 1 year after the date of the enactment of this Act, submit to the Congress a report that—</text> 
<paragraph id="H803D9C138C9B435DAB7518D43F32A4AA"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">examines how service-connected disability compensation is treated for the purposes of determining eligibility for all programs administered by the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development;</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="HD5FFC6909B5C4E1289BCDF18452FB598"><enum>(2)</enum><text>identifies any instances where service-connected disability compensation is treated in a manner inconsistent with the amendment made by section 2; and</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H343C31FD5EC14B9BB6CF97B1D671277B"><enum>(3)</enum><text>with respect to each program administered by the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development in which service-connected disability compensation is treated inconsistently, provides legislative recommendations relating to how such program could better serve veteran populations, and under-served communities.</text></paragraph></section> </legis-body><attestation><attestation-group><attestation-date date="20250210" chamber="House">Passed the House of Representatives February 10, 2025.</attestation-date><attestor display="no">Kevin F.
