<section id="H02DCF40FB09B4E3AB4B1125629E0AB1F" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Kylie’s Voices for Childhood Cancer Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> <section id="H1945686C4B7C41A9842B9522854207B3"><enum>2.</enum><header>Representation of pediatric experts in State comprehensive cancer control coalitions</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Part B of title III of the Public Health Service Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/243">42 U.S.C. 243 et seq.</external-xref>) is amended by inserting after section 317V (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/247b-24">42 U.S.C. 247b–24</external-xref>) the following:</text> 
<quoted-block style="OLC" id="H4D9BD914A5AE42179115BAB8B3AAE67E" display-inline="no-display-inline"> 
<section id="H00B629B77B2B459E86C1D0F0DA97F969"><enum>317W.</enum><header>Representation of pediatric experts in State comprehensive cancer control coalitions</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">With respect to funding made available under this Act for the development and implementation of State comprehensive cancer control plans, the Secretary, acting through the Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, shall require that a State, as a condition for the receipt of such assistance, provide assurances satisfactory to the Secretary that the membership of the State’s comprehensive cancer control coalition includes at least two members who are pediatric cancer experts. </text></section><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></section> <section id="HD6C29DE04C5741ED8F29B36D171ACFB7"><enum>3.</enum><header>Cancer Control Plan Pediatric Cancer Advisory Committee</header> <subsection id="H0D8922E90CB545D7852F5711BF6B7645"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Establishment</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Secretary of Health and Human Services shall establish an advisory committee, to be known as the Cancer Control Plan Pediatric Cancer Advisory Committee (in this section referred to as the <quote>advisory committee</quote>), in accordance with the requirements of this section.</text></subsection> 
<subsection id="H62013171891D4823BDF7F50E4653B275"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Membership</header><text>The advisory committee shall be composed of following members, to be appointed by the Secretary:</text> <paragraph id="H7FDE697192564928B7312539690B5D08"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">A representative of the National Cancer Institute.</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H814332076DFF4684AAFE5A8099049305"><enum>(2)</enum><text>A representative of the National Institutes of Health.</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="HC427266B50D349F89D4C157B6BDF6745"><enum>(3)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">A representative of the National Comprehensive Cancer Control Program of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H8F3C178038824A04AE53E34474CC4B10"><enum>(4)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">A representative of a State program that receives assistance under title V of the Social Security Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/701">42 U.S.C. 701 et seq.</external-xref>).</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="HF7AAE5FFBE914C79BE6BAFD2E18497C2"><enum>(5)</enum><text>A representative of a State program that receives assistance from the Health Resources and Services Administration.</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H6CDF9C7A88534529B3B05D0174772BC5"><enum>(6)</enum><text>Two individuals from among individuals who meet 1 or more of the following qualifications:</text> <subparagraph id="HEA6B218ED5A446748BFB5C297F125588"><enum>(A)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">A staff member of a nonprofit pediatric-focused cancer organization.</text></subparagraph> 
<subparagraph id="H2A56AFA13B4046918B761B5D65ECBA14"><enum>(B)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">A pediatric cancer expert or cancer care team member.</text></subparagraph> <subparagraph id="H97FD07F7EAAA4E5789D2E1B3B38F3F89"><enum>(C)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">A pediatric cancer survivor.</text></subparagraph> 
<subparagraph id="H314EF90D70CE4D958C621F6FCA7B98A6"><enum>(D)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">A pediatric cancer caregiver.</text></subparagraph></paragraph></subsection> <subsection id="H823BC36EA05741D1AAB8745128CD346E"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Duties</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The advisory committee shall—</text> 
<paragraph id="H509A23DBCBC743B9ACD894695DB2CC5C"><enum>(1)</enum><text>develop resources, best practices, and recommendations on addressing pediatric cancer within State comprehensive cancer control plans;</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="HF7D3512D89E34A17859949FD101282D8"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">develop recommendations on the use of funds to assist pediatric cancer patients, including—</text> 
<subparagraph id="H3A9987E074644F33BE0BE9DAF9E06DA2"><enum>(A)</enum><text>funds made available to States by the Administrator of the Health Resources and Services Administration; and</text></subparagraph> <subparagraph id="H84A43D6FB0DC4D5CBD1D18CB95A7319E"><enum>(B)</enum><text>funds made available to States under title V of the Social Security Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/701">42 U.S.C. 701 et seq.</external-xref>); and</text></subparagraph></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H668EAB76BB814E548F02279F5314EAC3"><enum>(3)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">develop best practices for patients impacted by adolescent or young adult cancer.</text></paragraph></subsection> <subsection id="H41829F588B7848C3A22F981F436A0C43"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Annual meeting with State representatives</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The advisory committee shall meet annually with representatives of State comprehensive cancer control coalitions to share case examples of successful pediatric cancer care implementation models.</text></subsection> 
<subsection id="H527897A4037249AD8F90EFECCE0A47B0"><enum>(e)</enum><header>Report to Congress</header><text>Not later than 2 years after the date of the first meeting of the advisory committee, the Secretary shall transmit to Congress, and publish on a publicly accessible website of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, a report on the activities, findings, and recommendations of the advisory committee.</text></subsection> <subsection id="HD22F8853D94F40CE8249C106D4FC0455"><enum>(f)</enum><header>Sunset</header><text>The advisory committee shall sunset on the date that is 2 years after the date of the first meeting of the advisory committee.</text></subsection></section> 
<section id="HEE2F873176C449FB801A6366F6AEA022"><enum>4.</enum><header>Maternal and child health services block grants</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 501(a)(1) of the Social Security Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/701">42 U.S.C. 701(a)(1)</external-xref>) is amended—</text> <paragraph id="HBFA7A02CF5D14045A455AFD5AA1C3B6F"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in subparagraph (C), by striking <quote>and</quote> at the end;</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H75C98BEEEDDB47A68C865A34F928EF92"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in subparagraph (D), by striking the semicolon at the end and inserting <quote>; and</quote>; and</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="H79B1E0DB7379497091684D4859561613"><enum>(3)</enum><text>by adding at the end the following:</text>

<subparagraph id="H43C9578FE28F4E9F8A71CF03CE18F165"><enum>(E)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">to meet pediatric-specific initiatives and goals within Comprehensive Cancer Control programs of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and to implement recommendations of the Cancer Control Plan Pediatric Cancer Advisory Committee established under section 3 of the Kylie’s Voices for Childhood Cancer Act.</text></subparagraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block> </paragraph></section> </legis-body></bill>
