<section id="H48662A194DB74E58A5DE317A494EB44E" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header>
 <text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Government Travel Transparency Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> 
<section id="H561124B1EFED4958B547778F46615D30"><enum>2.</enum><header>Report on use of Federal aircraft by certain officials</header> 
<subsection id="H8B934F940923405ABFB904B60DCFECB2"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Not later than 30 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, and quarterly thereafter, the Comptroller General of the United States shall submit to Congress and publish on the website of the Government Accountability Office a report analyzing the use by covered officials of aircraft owned or operated by the Federal Government, which shall include an identification of the following:</text> <paragraph id="H1B1D55BDB9FA4E6094885AA24A35AFE1" commented="no"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Each use of such aircraft by a covered official for travel with respect to a Federal election or a political activity, and whether the Federal Government was reimbursed for such use.</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H95BCC328BB4148F3809ECF597368EAE0" commented="no"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Each use of such aircraft by a covered official for personal travel, if another mode of transportation would have been more cost effective (as determined by the Comptroller General).</text></paragraph></subsection> <subsection id="HE808B3EA68564F1F9714BA75E2B239BC"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Requirements</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">In preparing the report under subsection (a), the Comptroller General of the United States—</text> 
<paragraph id="H82740C5C5FE34F7B9DE9F127DF27E584"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">shall utilize information from the General Services Administration, including from the GSA Travel Reporting Tool; and</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="H63C4388529484543BBECB38AC1F9001B"><enum>(2)</enum><text>may not include in such report the location of a covered official at a specified time.</text> </paragraph></subsection> 
<subsection id="H7E2C0C320C86405581B69D5085B1B704"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Definitions</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">In this section:</text> <paragraph id="HDD282D4646FC483B989E69B8A768BC21"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Covered official</header><text>The term <quote>covered official</quote> means each of the following:</text> 
<subparagraph id="H5347A7EEF67E4E44A33AE6592568D311"><enum>(A)</enum><text>The President of the United States.</text></subparagraph> <subparagraph id="H844D7B257605482BA995B1B6BC408A95"><enum>(B)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Vice President of the United States.</text></subparagraph> 
<subparagraph id="H90B14CBFCAE34C79ADE795D461984682"><enum>(C)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency.</text></subparagraph> <subparagraph id="H22A5BF93EC93488D8C7E630425808A86"><enum>(D)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Administrator of the Small Business Administration.</text></subparagraph> 
<subparagraph id="H6E70B8289FF84B9683F544FA9E9E670E"><enum>(E)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Attorney General.</text></subparagraph> <subparagraph id="HBC15E13031E949C68ECE3F4F57CA7E64"><enum>(F)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Director of the Central Intelligence Agency.</text></subparagraph>

<paragraph id="H0AC3E4AEA3D04EE096C6D4F228F971D6"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Federal election</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The term <quote>Federal election</quote> has the meaning given the term <quote>election</quote> in section 301 of the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/52/30101">52 U.S.C. 30101</external-xref>).</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="H29ACB577A2E74181A9C7849F4A5F553B"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Political activity</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The term <quote>political activity</quote> has the meaning given the term in section 734.101 of title 5, Code of Federal Regulations.</text></paragraph></subsection></section>
