<section id="HDAEC47B9D302455189DCC6330E5FB966" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header>
 <text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Registration Enforcement for Vehicle Operations of Known Evaders Act</short-title></quote> or the <quote><short-title>REVOKE Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> 
<section id="H418598026FD54FFAB9F291074A3FDF86" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Active USDOT number required</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 31134 of title 49, United States Code, is amended—</text> <paragraph id="HC710BA9232E040088AA7CBFCF42EAB48"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in subsection (a) in the second sentence by striking <quote>a USDOT number</quote> and inserting <quote>an active USDOT number</quote>;</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="HB97D5F22F93543FDAD543CE7949C5EA5"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by redesignating subsection (e) as subsection (f); and</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="HD5548A0B5F46452FB5AAC57AACE12246"><enum>(3)</enum><text>by inserting after subsection (d) the following:</text>

<subsection id="H1C93979C8D914039BDC9C1B326583494"><enum>(e)</enum><header>Active USDOT number required</header> 
<paragraph id="HA9D90403FE994F1E8A11F5CDDB9127F5"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">No employer or person may conduct operations requiring registration under this section or chapter 139 of this title without an active USDOT Number.</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="H88A74E0AFA10492486F5C260419812FC"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Determination</header><text>The Secretary shall only issue an active USDOT Number to an employer or person seeking registration under this section or under chapter 139 of this title after the Secretary determines that the employer or person meets all of the requirements for registration.</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H80B581D0DC3648B7A751DAF7B316C2D6"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Inactivating USDOT numbers</header><text>The Secretary shall immediately inactivate the USDOT Number of an employer or person issued under this subsection if the employer or person does not have any valid registration issued under this section or under chapter 139 of this title; or, if the employer or person failed to make any periodic update required by the Secretary.</text></paragraph></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph></section> </legis-body></bill>
