Inclusion of certain prior active duty as a regular member of an Armed Force for reduced eligibility age for retirement as a member of the reserve components

(a)

In general

Section 12731(f)(2) of title 10, United States Code, is amended— (1)in subparagraph (A), by striking as a member of the Ready Reserve; and (2)in subparagraph (B), by adding at the end the following new clause: (v) Service on active duty described in this subparagraph is also service on active duty as a regular member.. (b)

Retroactive applicability

The amendments made by subsection (a) shall apply to qualifying service on active duty performed after January 28, 2008.
