<section id="HB7ADB22FC0D540A78CC7662F416A54B5" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Protect America from CARB Act of 2026</short-title></quote>.</text></section> <section id="H91B212675CFE49BCA0C72F3D855BB443"><enum>2.</enum><header>Concurrence required for certain State emissions standards</header> <subsection id="H08047181E35D4E58A2F6E09A7F0DF193"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Concurrence required</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 209 of the Clean Air Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/7543">42 U.S.C. 7543</external-xref>) is amended—</text> 
<paragraph id="HBB2AABFCCDBF4663B4A5A84C2D53C028">
                    <enum>(1)</enum>
 <text>in subsection (b)(1), by inserting <quote> and after receiving concurrence from the Secretary of Agriculture, the Secretary of Energy, the Secretary of the Interior, and the Secretary of Transportation,</quote> after <quote>after notice and opportunity for public hearing,</quote>; and</text>
                </paragraph>

                    <enum>(2)</enum>
 <text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in subsection (e)(2)(A), by inserting <quote> and after receiving concurrence from the Secretary of Agriculture, the Secretary of Energy, the Secretary of the Interior, and the Secretary of Transportation,</quote> after <quote>after notice and opportunity for public hearing,</quote>.</text>
                </paragraph></subsection> 
<subsection id="H6E35F4181AAF471295F036307937D6F1"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Applicability</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The amendments made by subsection (a) shall apply with respect to requests for waivers or authorizations submitted on or after the date of enactment of this Act.</text></subsection></section> </legis-body></bill>
