<section id="HC77EFBF7B7004972A4DCE8704E4E470F" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header>
 <text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Army Quantum Readiness Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section>
<section id="H958B3264F0414599A453735C07F95CF4"><enum>2.</enum><header>Army Quantum Readiness and Advanced Computing Initiative</header> 
<subsection id="HEF2896C63DE24EF7A4E528174D3A25E1"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Establishment</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Secretary of the Army shall establish an Army Quantum Readiness and Advanced Computing Initiative to prepare the Department of the Army for the integration of quantum computing, quantum-enabled technologies, and advanced computing capabilities into future operational, intelligence, logistics, and command-and-control missions.</text></subsection> <subsection id="H87D163C58B3040F8B6CBD70E775E911C"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Objectives</header><text>The Initiative shall—</text> 
<paragraph id="H5658BD6E736947C5A40FE91753DB38A3"><enum>(1)</enum><text>identify Army operational applications of quantum computing, quantum sensing, quantum networking, and quantum-enabled artificial intelligence;</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="H10076C7A117E4FEA97D8BF05EF4F419F"><enum>(2)</enum><text>assess infrastructure requirements necessary to support future quantum and advanced computing capabilities, including power, cooling, networking, cybersecurity, and secure facilities;</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="HB087696F5D064F2CB5C643F303891364"><enum>(3)</enum><text>evaluate acquisition pathways capable of accelerating the transition of quantum technologies from research and development into operational use;</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="H86EE6527F04949149415E9850B8C3314"><enum>(4)</enum><text>identify opportunities to leverage partnerships among Army laboratories, academic institutions, federally funded research and development centers, and private industry;</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H72A47441E51B42D29BB87A825E83C392"><enum>(5)</enum><text>develop a workforce strategy to support future Army quantum and advanced computing requirements; and</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="HF9D3FB8E02614609B4CE99780BEB14ED"><enum>(6)</enum><text>establish pilot projects to evaluate advanced computing infrastructure supporting future quantum-enabled capabilities.</text></paragraph></subsection> 
<subsection id="HE0331F37FFB2428290BB4A5FBFB8EB2E"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Quantum readiness demonstration activities</header><text>The Secretary may establish demonstration activities to evaluate—</text> <paragraph id="H49427A616F0F4C6B823DE5949DEC8744"><enum>(1)</enum><text>advanced computing architectures supporting quantum technologies;</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H72DE384D7FEA42118A0F8D43B4AAB728"><enum>(2)</enum><text>quantum-enabled artificial intelligence applications;</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="HF16299C679934A4597E693C2EA612CCD"><enum>(3)</enum><text>post-quantum cybersecurity capabilities;</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="HD1E1445B245740C38A0B7B237CF05209"><enum>(4)</enum><text>resilient and secure networking architectures; and</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="H76307C48FE2E4F84B6C785F6AF20416F"><enum>(5)</enum><text>infrastructure necessary to support future Army quantum capabilities.</text></paragraph></subsection> 
<subsection id="H6AD81E62CB6142D4AF36473641A22B68"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Report</header><text>Not later than 270 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of the Army shall submit to the congressional defense committees (as defined in section 101(a) of title 10, United States Code) a report describing—</text> <paragraph id="H6FEF327DD4EB4DBD816F3E6974E842A8"><enum>(1)</enum><text>Army quantum readiness requirements;</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="HB3402D43452047C39AC7F9C04042A8C3"><enum>(2)</enum><text>recommended infrastructure investments;</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="H2C67D95D9A7845329443EC81A07919C2"><enum>(3)</enum><text>workforce and educational requirements;</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H88B70BD689CD4E1781E9397E1E13AEC7"><enum>(4)</enum><text>recommended pilot and demonstration activities; and</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="H2084061E57ED4AC098F619C429CD5E26"><enum>(5)</enum><text>legislative or acquisition authorities necessary to accelerate Army quantum readiness.</text></paragraph></subsection> </section>
