<section id="H306875DCA76F4B79B1EF65867E4188BA" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header>
 <text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Oversight Access Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> 
<section id="HDAE024101B94473B9A468E0FE91D27F1"><enum>2.</enum><header>Prohibition on restricting access of Members of Congress to immigration detention facilities</header> 
<subsection id="H52DBACAAF5864A1B94FB55AF769C347E"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Secretary of Homeland Security may not—</text> <paragraph id="H78B8D90D5EF74223B3D9F2F653709D8C"><enum>(1)</enum><text>prevent a Member of Congress, or an employee of the United States House of Representatives or the United States Senate accompanying such Member, from entering, for the purpose of conducting oversight, any facility operated by or for the Department of Homeland Security used to detain or otherwise house aliens;</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="HC5669DB80CD54FC0B529AF02E52FE0DC"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">require prior notice from a Member of Congress or an employee described in paragraph (1) of the intent to enter such a facility for the purpose of conducting oversight; or</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="HD9EFBFFFDC7F4C58BC8D1489C5EE06EF"><enum>(3)</enum><text>make any temporary modification at any such facility that in any way alters what is observed by a visiting Member of Congress or such employee, compared to what would be observed in the absence of such modification.</text></paragraph></subsection> 
<subsection id="HE61FBA93559C415387966400473211A9"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Report</header><text>The Inspector General of the Department of Homeland Security shall report to the Committees on the Judiciary of the House of Representatives and the Senate within 30 days if the Inspector General determines that the Secretary of Homeland Security materially failed to comply with the requirements of this section.</text> </subsection></section> </legis-body></bill>
