      for bribery or theft offenses concerning public officials or Federal funds, and other
 purposes.</official-title></form><legis-body id="H931C0F2E67FC4A0097E400D7E0ED9562" style="OLC"><section id="HCF066E1122C44630935C31A4952AB46D" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Bribery Accountability and Discovery Act</short-title></quote> or the <quote><short-title>BAD Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="H749BF83971B24B14A1F51CA327D8EA4B"><enum>2.</enum><header>Bribery or theft offenses concerning public officials or Federal funds</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 3282 of title 18, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following new subsection:</text><quoted-block style="USC" id="H3795817476804D36BAE52A32ED45C42D" display-inline="no-display-inline"><subsection id="HA0F6ADE072EF4973803ED678F36E845D"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Bribery or theft offenses concerning public officials or Federal funds</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">For any offense under sections 201 or 666, the period of limitations shall not begin to run until the offense is discovered by, or reported to, a Federal law enforcement agency.</text></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></section></legis-body></bill>
