RES. 403</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES</current-chamber><action display="yes"><action-date date="20231004">October 4, 2023</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="S343">Mr. Boozman</sponsor> (for himself and <cosponsor name-id="S413">Mr. Padilla</cosponsor>) submitted the following resolution; which was considered and agreed to</action-desc></action><legis-type>RESOLUTION</legis-type><official-title display="yes">Recognizing the 10th anniversary of the USA Rice-Ducks Unlimited Rice Stewardship Partnership.</official-title></form><preamble><whereas><text>Whereas the USA Rice-Ducks Unlimited Rice Stewardship Partnership (referred to in this preamble as the <quote>Rice Stewardship Partnership</quote>) is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2023;</text></whereas><whereas><text>Whereas the Rice Stewardship Partnership is a unique collaboration between an agricultural commodity group and a conservation organization that has led to historic outcomes for both United States rice farmers and migratory shorebirds and waterfowl, namely ducks;</text></whereas><whereas><text>Whereas, since its inception, the Rice Stewardship Partnership has beneficially impacted more than 800,000 acres of rice and rice rotation lands on more than 1,000 farms, primarily through the Regional Conservation Partnership Program of the Department of Agriculture;</text></whereas><whereas><text>Whereas additional conservation funding has been provided to United States rice farmers to conduct on-the-ground conservation efforts, contributing exponentially to the environment; and</text></whereas><whereas><text>Whereas the work of Ducks Unlimited and USA Rice, along with tremendous support from more than 100 partners and the Natural Resources Conservation Service of the Department of Agriculture, has made the Rice Stewardship Partnership possible: Now, therefore, be it</text></whereas></preamble><resolution-body style="traditional" id="H2B3C9FF6CCCA4F7A9A3E1255E268508C"><section display-inline="yes-display-inline" section-type="undesignated-section" id="H43EB54729C7B4BB8A4D3684E97277A7E"><enum/><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">That the Senate recognizes—</text><paragraph id="HFF5246CC34F344A68E3474F07CBD01C6"><enum>(1)</enum><text>the contributions of Ducks Unlimited and USA Rice to environmental stewardship for rice farmers, conservationists, and duck hunters alike; and</text></paragraph><paragraph id="HCD0B9091F50C43CEA6655CA26CE0B185"><enum>(2)</enum><text>the 10th anniversary of the USA Rice-Ducks Unlimited Rice Stewardship Partnership.</text></paragraph></section></resolution-body></resolution>
