RES. 4</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES</current-chamber><action display="yes"><action-date date="20230216">February 16, 2023</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="S417">Mr. Budd</sponsor> (for himself, <cosponsor name-id="S384">Mr. Tillis</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="S378">Mr. Lankford</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="S411">Mr. Marshall</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="S381">Mr. Rounds</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="S410">Ms. Lummis</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="S398">Mr. Cramer</cosponsor>, and <cosponsor name-id="S404">Mr. Scott of Florida</cosponsor>) submitted the following concurrent resolution; which was referred to the <committee-name committee-id="SSRA00">Committee on Rules and Administration</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>CONCURRENT RESOLUTION</legis-type><official-title display="yes">Establishing deadlines for the Joint Committee of Congress on the Library to approve or deny the statue of the Reverend William Franklin <quote>Billy</quote> Graham, Jr., for placement in the National Statuary Hall.</official-title></form><resolution-body style="OLC" id="HB2B9292047BB4C29BCA280684C584114"><section id="id505A952205C04632BFFB3610EC851FFA" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Deadlines for approval or denial by Joint Committee of Congress on the Library</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">The Joint Committee of Congress on the Library shall—</text><paragraph id="HA74017DA05954E4DB75F15793370FF79"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">approve or deny the full-sized clay model and pedestal design of a statue of the Reverend William Franklin <quote>Billy</quote> Graham, Jr., not later than 30 days after the date on which the State of North Carolina submits to the Architect of the Capitol— </text><subparagraph id="idED9D8A3C75D6452DA102F53DD841ED89"><enum>(A)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">photographs of the model from all 4 sides; </text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="id435E316DAE5E4A588146EB82E96B8BF7"><enum>(B)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">the dimensions of the statue and pedestal; </text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="id949D43B124E84F3FBB7B37A69736DE71"><enum>(C)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">engineering drawings of the pedestal; </text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="idBF18FFE195EF4CCF8B519218AD61D4D1"><enum>(D)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">the anticipated weight of the completed statue and pedestal; and </text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="idC251620A43C24603A78DCCC8A62C71FA"><enum>(E)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">the text of any proposed inscription;</text></subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="HA4F29F5B3B884BE9BDE60B0652AA39A2"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">approve or deny the completed statue of the Reverend William Franklin <quote>Billy</quote> Graham, Jr., not later than 30 days after the date on which the State of North Carolina submits to the Architect of the Capitol— </text><subparagraph id="id5996F2CC3B464E10844D308D100C12A3"><enum>(A)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">photographs of the completed statue and pedestal from all 4 sides; </text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="id4545F65BD6314F1B9689160332B7326E"><enum>(B)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">the dimensions of the statue and pedestal; </text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="id83509B356814425FA5F3843FFDA53182"><enum>(C)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">the final weight of the statue and pedestal; and </text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="id0F52B9FD76594E44976B5AB19B481546"><enum>(D)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">the text of any inscription; and</text></subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="H838C1A596CB4440A99EC3F2AD5F315BF"><enum>(3)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">if the Committee approves the statue of the Reverend William Franklin <quote>Billy</quote> Graham, Jr., under paragraph (2), not later than 30 days after the date of the approval, determine a permanent public location in the Capitol for the statue.</text></paragraph></section></resolution-body></resolution>
