<distribution-code display="yes">II</distribution-code><congress>118th CONGRESS</congress><session>2d Session</session><legis-num>S. 4754</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES</current-chamber><action><action-date date="20240723">July 23, 2024</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="S355">Mr. Cruz</sponsor> (for himself and <cosponsor name-id="S287">Mr. Cornyn</cosponsor>) introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the <committee-name committee-id="SSAS00">Committee on Armed Services</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title>To terminate the obligation to repay bonuses of former members of the Armed Forces separated for refusing the COVID–19 vaccine.</official-title></form><legis-body><section id="id58d9983ab30e4e46befe01ba4fde0df9" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Termination of obligation to repay bonuses of members separated for refusing COVID–19 vaccine</header><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idc046a959d6e8497c9c98bdb3082639f2"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text>A former member of the Armed Forces who was separated from the Armed Forces because the former member refused to obtain a COVID–19 vaccine shall be released for any obligation to repay any bonus received by the former member.</text></subsection><subsection id="idc81b8567da114e75aca282913326b79b"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Reimbursment of repayments</header><text>A former member of the Armed Forces described in subsection (a) who, before the date of the enactment of this Act, repaid any portion of a bonus described in that subsection shall be reimbursed for such repayment.</text></subsection></section></legis-body></bill>
