<distribution-code display="yes">II</distribution-code><congress>118th CONGRESS</congress><session>2d Session</session><legis-num>S. 4383</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES</current-chamber><action><action-date date="20240521">May 21, 2024</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="S414">Mr. Ossoff</sponsor> (for himself and <cosponsor name-id="S415">Mr. Warnock</cosponsor>) introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the <committee-name committee-id="SSEV00">Committee on Environment and Public Works</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title>To amend the Water Resources Development Act of 1992 to provide for environmental infrastructure in coastal Georgia.</official-title></form><legis-body><section id="S1" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Coastal Georgia Flooding Prevention Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idde193da88c7a4423af29687a03ff1ce8"><enum>2.</enum><header>Coastal Georgia</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 219(f) of the Water Resources Development Act of 1992 (106 Stat. 4835; 113 Stat. 334; 136 Stat. 3808) is amended by adding at the end the following: </text><quoted-block style="OLC" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id0E340A0EC68C4910BB1BB3645C778234"><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id8eac82464adc48fd958435c8df909733"><enum>(406)</enum><header>Coastal Georgia</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">$5,000,000 for environmental infrastructure, including water and wastewater infrastructure (including stormwater management), Glynn County, Chatham County, Bryan County, Effingham County, McIntosh County, and Camden County, Georgia.</text></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></section></legis-body></bill>
