Short title

This Act may be cited as the Keep Violent Criminals Off Our Streets Act.

2.

Prohibition on grants for certain entities

Section 502 of title I of the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 (34 U.S.C. 10153) is amended by adding at the end the following:(c)

Ineligibility

For the first fiscal year beginning after the date of enactment of the Keep Violent Criminals Off Our Streets Act for which a State or unit of local government requests a grant under this subpart (or requests a renewal or extension of such a grant), and each fiscal year thereafter, if the State or unit of local government has in effect a policy or law that prohibits the use of cash bail for all offenders or that does not employ pretrial detention practices for every violent offender, including every violent juvenile offender, the State of unit of local government may not be awarded a grant under this subpart (or a renewal or extension of such a grant)..
