Short title

This Act may be cited as the Food Secure Strikers Act of 2023.

Eligibility of striking workers

Section 6(d) of the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 (7 U.S.C. 2015(d)) is amended— (1)in paragraph (1)(D)—(A)by striking clause (iv); and(B)by redesignating clauses (v) and (vi) as clauses (iv) and (v), respectively; and(2)in paragraph (3)—(A)by striking participate in the supplemental nutrition assistance program at any time that and inserting be ineligible to participate in the supplemental nutrition assistance program as a result of; (B)by striking is on strike and inserting being on strike; and(C)by striking : Provided, That and all that follows through the period at the end and inserting a period.
