<distribution-code display="yes">II</distribution-code><congress>118th CONGRESS</congress><session>1st Session</session><legis-num>S. 1549</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES</current-chamber><action><action-date date="20230510">May 10, 2023</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="S380">Mr. Peters</sponsor> (for himself and <cosponsor name-id="S252">Ms. Collins</cosponsor>) introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the <committee-name committee-id="SSGA00">Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title>To provide the Congressional Budget Office with necessary authorities to expedite the sharing of data from executive branch agencies, and for other purposes.</official-title></form><legis-body display-enacting-clause="yes-display-enacting-clause"><section section-type="section-one" id="S1"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Congressional Budget Office Data Access Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="id120A3DECC62645BAA18C87CBFEF0D8DB"><enum>2.</enum><header>Conditions of Disclosure for Federal Agency Information with the Congressional Budget Office</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Subsection (b) of section 552a of title 5, United States Code (commonly known as the <quote>Privacy Act of 1974</quote>), is amended—</text><paragraph id="id4472ca4cdd394ecda819ea91894a8554"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by redesignating paragraphs (11) and (12) as paragraphs (12) and (13), respectively; and</text></paragraph><paragraph id="id280be0d7563642a1af05b6a81f2bdc3d"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by inserting after paragraph (10) the following:</text><quoted-block style="OLC" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id803A07D208A9476E8931F5F0A17897AA"><paragraph id="id4505064EF8E64400AF8544D1EEF1E930"><enum>(11)</enum><text>to the Director of the Congressional Budget Office, or any authorized representative of the Director, in the course of performance of the duties of the Congressional Budget Office;</text></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph></section></legis-body></bill>
