<whereas><text>Whereas Diaz Bonville was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and a dedicated public servant for the State of Delaware;</text></whereas> <whereas><text>Whereas Diaz knew everybody, and everybody knew Diaz;</text></whereas> 
<whereas><text>Whereas, if there was a problem, people all over Delaware, but especially Kent and Sussex Counties, knew they could count on Diaz to do something about it;</text></whereas> <whereas><text>Whereas, in his capacities with the Indian River School District, board member of CHEER, Inc., president of West Side New Beginnings, Inc., cofounder of the West Rehoboth Children and Youth Program, and an active member of the Delaware Human and Civil Rights Commission, Diaz always put the health, wellness, and education of Sussex County residents, especially young people, at the forefront;</text></whereas> 
<whereas><text>Whereas Diaz, as the Kent and Sussex County outreach coordinator in the office of Congresswoman Blunt Rochester, showed up at local meetings, events, and celebrations, no matter how big or small;</text></whereas> <whereas><text>Whereas Diaz ensured that the voices of downstate residents were heard and informed of Congresswoman Blunt Rochester’s work in Congress;</text></whereas> 
<whereas><text>Whereas Diaz provided invaluable insight because the issues he was tackling were not just professional ones to him, they were personal;</text></whereas> <whereas><text>Whereas Diaz was a shining example of serving one’s community while never losing sight of what is truly important; and</text></whereas> 
<whereas><text>Whereas Diaz Bonville passed away on September 14, 2024, and it is fitting that the House of Representatives recognizes him for his career and service to the State of Delaware: Now, therefore, be it</text></whereas></preamble><resolution-body style="OLC" id="HE26D562B94F14F109A86CA6BC0E2F9AA"> <section id="H789A85EF018F44B9A81A0620C4EF0E79" display-inline="yes-display-inline" section-type="undesignated-section"><text>That the House of Representatives—</text> 
<paragraph id="HCCF748901ADC487E88776A6797D04A82"><enum>(1)</enum><text>honors the life and legacy of Diaz Bonville;</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="HEBBE6D53D1EE4492AE632B3AAF701825"><enum>(2)</enum><text>extends its heartfelt sympathies to the family and friends of Diaz Bonville; and</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H77AC710E82F3425CB5AFB000AA2E7C53"><enum>(3)</enum><text>commends Diaz Bonville for his commitment to ensuring that the people of Delaware had their interests fully represented in the House of Representatives.</text></paragraph></section> </resolution-body></resolution>
