<section id="H1531818BCC4742AEB6162F6E3B7D6B44" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>No Tax Subsidies for Stadiums Act of 2023</short-title></quote>.</text></section> <section commented="no" id="H732B1FD54E5A448DB26F128124D9DFCB"><enum>2.</enum><header>No tax-exempt bonds for professional stadiums</header> <subsection id="H0551D3921F1246C1BD882D176513C2A0"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline"><external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/26/103">Section 103(b)</external-xref> of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 is amended by adding at the end the following new paragraph:</text>

<paragraph commented="no" id="H3DC66FA9C65F411189280BE4DD34139F"><enum>(4)</enum><header>Professional stadium bond</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Any professional stadium bond.</text></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></subsection> <subsection id="HF4B7AD2922484315A26CD3FF4FD912F4"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Professional stadium bond defined</header><text>Section 103(c) of such Code is amended by adding at the end the following new paragraph:</text>

<paragraph id="HE03093EC5AD148379F6D680E01BD2364"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Professional stadium bond</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The term <term>professional stadium bond</term> means any bond issued as part of an issue any proceeds of which are used to finance or refinance capital expenditures allocable to a facility (or appurtenant real property) which, during at least 5 days during any calendar year, is used as a stadium or arena for professional sports exhibitions, games, or training.</text></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></subsection> <subsection id="HAF588E77CFD241F1B667F6C485B6F850"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Effective date</header><text>The amendments made by this section shall apply to bonds issued after the date of the enactment of this Act.</text></subsection></section>
