<official-title display="yes">To direct the Secretary of the Army to submit to Congress a report in the event that the assessment of the Army force structure using the process known as <quote>Total Army Analysis</quote> does not include certain missions.</official-title>

<section id="H543CC85DC5654502B5317E07841DEAD7" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header>
<subsection id="H99A75397C951476690ED1F980904DD2D"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Short title</header><text>This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Total Army Analysis Explosive Ordnance Disposal Domestic Response Act of 2024</short-title></quote>.</text></subsection></section> <section id="H035CE5A893CD4C169984481AE23CAA0F"><enum>2.</enum><header>Report on exclusion of certain missions in total army analysis</header> <subsection id="HBF91064687064330962D327136E0FBFE"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Reporting requirement</header><text>If the Army conducts an assessment of the Army force structure using the process known as <quote>Total Army Analysis</quote> and such assessment does not include each covered mission, the Secretary of the Army shall submit to Congress a report that includes—</text>
<paragraph id="HAE300D023D234A3F85999076920E3250"><enum>(1)</enum><text>an explanation for excluding the covered mission in the assessment; and</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="HD4E63B924A3B450AB1A48554FE245A3B"><enum>(2)</enum><text>an analysis of the risk assumed to the homeland by reason of excluding the covered mission.</text></paragraph></subsection>
<subsection id="H797D30937DD94C8288D36F94B5AB0E60"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Covered missions</header><text>In this section, a covered mission is any of the following:</text> <paragraph id="H8038A9950DF0499D80FFE197B3F88938"><enum>(1)</enum><text>A Defense Support of Civil Authorities mission.</text></paragraph>
<paragraph id="H50085F05C9764066BC0D307F7314ACAE"><enum>(2)</enum><text>A Very Important Personnel Protection Support Activity mission.</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="H200A029C79584D6081646798F5D58FB5"><enum>(3)</enum><text>Any forces required for a mission referred to in paragraph (1) or (2).</text></paragraph></subsection>
<subsection id="H051758207631421893D7710175CDE9CC"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Effective date</header><text>The requirement to submit reports under subsection (a) shall take effect on the date that is 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act.</text></subsection></section> </legis-body> </bill>
