R. 6316</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES</current-chamber><action display="yes"><action-date date="20231108">November 8, 2023</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="T000468">Ms. Titus</sponsor> (for herself and <cosponsor name-id="P000605">Mr. Perry</cosponsor>) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the <committee-name committee-id="HPW00">Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title display="yes">To amend title 40, United States Code, to establish an expiration date of certain committee resolutions with respect to leases or projects, and for other purposes.</official-title></form><legis-body id="HEDB210BC42C54651BA4AB35F40EDD4A6" style="OLC"><section id="HE3CBDB9979DC4FA988E5D4584909EFAF" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Limitation on authorizations</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 3307 of title 40, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following:</text><quoted-block style="USC" id="HE901F19B886E45EFBE7A96ED3FE88D24" display-inline="no-display-inline"><subsection id="HB8D91CBA4BF74F0D9C1627863A7AFDD2"><enum>(i)</enum><header>Expiration of committee resolutions</header><paragraph id="HF071070C72C84563ADF2FD73129B3C8E"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Unless a lease is awarded or a construction, alteration, repair, design, or acquisition project is initiated not later than 5 years after the resolution approvals adopted by the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure of the House of Representatives or the Committee on Environment and Public Works of the Senate pursuant to subsection (a), such resolutions shall be deemed expired.</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H4AFE41989A354A9D981746A22C193E17"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Application</header><text>This subsection shall only apply to resolutions approved after the date of enactment of this subsection.</text></paragraph></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></section></legis-body></bill>
