<section id="H0C4DA52757C9462F8AF2DE3E3469D327" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Honor Our Living Donors Act</short-title></quote>.</text> </section> <section id="HF7C756185718472FB61409DFC19EDDC2"><enum>2.</enum><header>No consideration of income of organ recipient</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 377 of the Public Health Service Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/274f">42 U.S.C. 274f(b)</external-xref>) is amended—</text> 
<paragraph id="H2D20EC59E0F841968E5B22B9255D5010"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by redesignating subsections (c) through (f) as subsections (d) through (g), respectively; and</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="H4AD6AC8A5F9E45EEB15FFFD2EEED0F99"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by inserting after subsection (b) the following:</text>

<subsection id="H545127E4F3DB4BE88EB2AF6F1AE6B90A"><enum>(c)</enum><header>No consideration of income of organ recipient</header><text>The recipient of a grant under this section, in providing reimbursement to a donating individual through such grant, shall not give any consideration to the income of the organ recipient.</text></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph></section> <section id="H8DF70CA01E1143E5B1F94BAFB3DF2656"><enum>3.</enum><header>Removal of expectation of payments by organ recipients</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 377(d) of the Public Health Service Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/274f">42 U.S.C. 274f(d)</external-xref>) is amended—</text> 
<paragraph id="H6D6B3497FE0B4581BE0556B85FD6352C" commented="no"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in paragraph (1), by inserting <quote>or</quote> at the end;</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="HC9FBA9F35EC341C7BBE7F872E9E1EF1E" commented="no"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in paragraph (2), by striking <quote>; or</quote> and inserting a period; and </text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="HE491F240F8684C03907330E647E93E6C"><enum>(3)</enum><text>by striking paragraph (3).</text></paragraph></section> <section id="H6100FF62DA92412A85DA72E3D704D2B3"><enum>4.</enum><header>Annual report</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 377 of the Public Health Service Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/274f">42 U.S.C. 274f</external-xref>), as amended, is further amended by adding at the end the following:</text>

<subsection id="HFC5B7EBE14B24E499A026DAB5815DBB8"><enum>(h)</enum><header>Annual report</header><text>Not later than December 31 of each year, the Secretary shall—</text> <paragraph id="H8C0AFA5535F745F38425F0C707D5A674"><enum>(1)</enum><text>prepare, submit to the Congress, and make public a report on whether grants under this section provided adequate funding during the preceding fiscal year to reimburse all donating individuals for all qualifying expenses; and</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H997B2555E9874809B8BB21F54BF40C92"><enum>(2)</enum><text>include in each such report—</text> <subparagraph id="H6F615C92ECE941D0BE9EDBD84A2BCB94"><enum>(A)</enum><text>the estimated number of all donating individuals who did not receive reimbursement for all qualifying expenses during the preceding fiscal year; and</text></subparagraph> 
<subparagraph id="HC21A5D754DEA42C0ADD3F9C139F9408C"><enum>(B)</enum><text>the total amount of funding that is estimated to be necessary to fully reimburse all donating individuals for all qualifying expenses.</text></subparagraph></paragraph></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></section> </legis-body></bill>
