<section id="H21FB4992308D423DB428C0952E99C12B" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Government Off TikTok Act</short-title></quote> or the <quote><short-title>GOT Act</short-title></quote>. </text></section> <section id="HA94B9DF0D4924D80B7D016E0C1A1E2EA"><enum>2.</enum><header>Prohibition on officers, employees, and elected officials of the Federal Government having, establishing, maintaining official accounts on Tik Tok</header> <subsection id="H49850AEA0FA141848C13F62D8134E5B6"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Sense of Congress</header><text>It is the sense of Congress that—</text> 
<paragraph id="H3D5BB11EA20B41FEA04AB458ABDE06F0" commented="no"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Tik Tok is a proven national security threat to the United States and allies of the United States; and</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="HF05534A9F9114DF4BDB49F88D4C47A06"><enum>(2)</enum><text>United States officials should not be posting about official government business because of the threat that the Chinese Communist Party poses. </text></paragraph></subsection> 
<subsection id="H22F36E6CA75C4928A25D0CC93A062A1D"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Prohibition</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">No officer, employee, or elected official of the executive, legislative, or judicial branch of the Federal Government may have, establish, obtain, or maintain a <quote>Government, Politician, or Political Party Account</quote> on Tik Tok, or any equivalent account provided by—</text> <paragraph id="H85A00149591B4E989BCBF0BBC4502C33"><enum>(1)</enum><text>ByteDance limited; or</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="HF40CB3D46D46434A81C87B6DA2C67764"><enum>(2)</enum><text>any entity owned by ByteDance limited.</text></paragraph> </subsection> <subsection id="HA2C2613F2A274AC8AE47A92E3DFE8491"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Rule of construction</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Nothing in this section may be construed as affecting any standard or guideline developed pursuant to division R of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2023 (<external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/117/328">Public Law 117–328</external-xref>).</text></subsection></section>
