Short title

This Act may be cited as the Thrifty Food Plan Accountability Act of 2023.

Adjustments to the thrifty food plan in the supplemental nutrition assistance program

Section 3(u) of the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 (7 U.S.C. 2012(u)) is amended in the matter preceding paragraph (1) by inserting after the second sentence the following: Each re-evaluation shall be budget-neutral and adjust the cost of the diet only in accordance with paragraphs (1) through (4), as applicable..
