<section id="H5775FB08053E4A9ABE488B12AE0F504E" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Making Opportunities Reachable for Everyone Act</short-title></quote> or the <quote><short-title>MORE Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> <section id="H60A094970584458B880BBEF1826D3945"><enum>2.</enum><header>Preference for health profession opportunity grant applicants who have certain kinds of business and community partners</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 2008 of the Social Security Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/1397g">42 U.S.C. 1397g</external-xref>) is amended by redesignating subsections (c) and (d) as subsections (d) and (e), respectively, and inserting after subsection (b) the following:</text> 
<quoted-block style="OLC" id="H7356D3A1B09E41EFAB01F1209A34106C" display-inline="no-display-inline"> 
<subsection id="HEF3D287C760046FA83CD0969FCFC1C81"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Preference for grant applicants who have certain partners</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">In considering applications for a grant under this section, the Secretary shall give preference to applications submitted by applicants who have business and community partners in each of the following categories:</text> <paragraph id="HE378072596434A1B834D689FE50D6045"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">State and local government agencies and social service providers, including a State or local entity that administers a State program funded under part A of this title;</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H4BEB1EF6C7884BC488D773ED3530D627"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">institutions of higher education, apprenticeship programs, and local workforce development boards established under section 107 of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act; and</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="HB9B34199A0C746BB9F1376D0B63B5860"><enum>(3)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">health care employers, health care industry or sector partnerships, labor unions, and labor-management partnerships.</text></paragraph></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></section> 
<section id="H068EF9586C634E1DB9D9774CC2FD08F0"><enum>3.</enum><header>Effective date</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">The amendments made by this Act shall take effect on October 1, 2023.</text></section> </legis-body></bill>
