This Act may be cited as the Defective Firearms Protection Act.

Repeal of exclusion of pistols, revolvers, and other firearms

(a)

Definition of consumer product

Section 3(a)(5) of the Consumer Product Safety Act (15 U.S.C. 2052(a)(5)) is amended by striking subparagraph (E). (b)

Rulemaking authority

Section 3 of the Consumer Product Safety Commission Improvements Act of 1976 (15 U.S.C. 2080 note) is amended by striking subsection (e).
