1.

Short title

This Act may be cited as the Opt for Health with SNAP, Close the Fruit and Vegetable Gap Act of 2023 or the OH SNAP, Close the Fruit and Vegetable Gap Act of 2023.

Gus Schumacher Nutrition Incentive program

Section 4405 of the Food, Conservation, and Energy Act of 2008 (7 U.S.C. 7517) is amended— (1)in subsection (a)— (A)in the subsection heading, by striking In general and inserting Definitions; and (B)by redesignating paragraphs (3), (4), and (5) as paragraphs (5), (3), and (4), respectively, and reordering accordingly; (2)in subsection (b)(1)(C), by striking 50 and inserting 100; and (3)in subsection (f)— (A)in paragraph (1), by inserting and $100,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2024 through 2028 after 2023; and (B)in paragraph (2)— (i)by redesignating the second subparagraph (C) (relating to fiscal year 2019) through subparagraph (G) as subparagraphs (D) through (H), respectively; (ii)in subparagraph (G) (as so redesignated), by striking and at the end; (iii)in subparagraph (H) (as so redesignated), by striking 2023 and each fiscal year thereafter. and inserting 2023;; and (iv)by adding at the end the following: (I)$500,000,000 for fiscal year 2024; (J)$500,000,000 for fiscal year 2025; (K)$750,000,000 for fiscal year 2026; (L)$750,000,000 for fiscal year 2027; and (M)$1,000,000,000 for fiscal year 2028 and each fiscal year thereafter..
