R. 4033</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES</current-chamber><action display="yes"><action-date date="20230612">June 12, 2023</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="L000273">Ms. Leger Fernandez</sponsor> (for herself and <cosponsor name-id="S001218">Ms. Stansbury</cosponsor>) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the <committee-name committee-id="HAG00">Committee on Agriculture</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title display="yes">To provide additional funds to States for administration of certain nutrition programs.</official-title></form><legis-body id="H7EDEFD33A9E54907B55F93BD981E6290" style="OLC"><section id="HA337837AADDF416C9EC45FCD0B68A24B" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Nutrition Administration Assistance Act of 2023</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="H0BEBA6B96197465C82C8FD4359852E96" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Additional funds for administration costs</header><subsection id="H63FA101F9F2A4853966A346231C1588E"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Commodity supplemental food program</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">In addition to funds otherwise made available to State agencies to pay administration costs incurred by State agencies to carry out section 5 of the Agriculture and Consumer Protection Act of 1973 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/7/612c">7 U.S.C. 612c</external-xref> note), 70 percent of the funds appropriated under section 3 shall be provided to States for such administration costs.</text></subsection><subsection id="HB71FAD72CDD54FE8A90921DB325A16E4"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Emergency Food Assistance Act of 1983</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">In addition to funds otherwise made available to States to pay administration costs incurred by States to carry out State plans under section 203A of the Emergency Food Assistance Act of 1983 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/7/7503">7 U.S.C. 7503</external-xref>), 20 percent of the funds appropriated under section 3 shall be provided to States for such administration costs.</text></subsection><subsection id="H480F0F3412D145CBA47E60AEAD45D1A6"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Seniors farmers’ market nutrition program</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">In addition to funds otherwise made available to the Secretary of Agriculture for administration costs to carry out section 4402 of the Farm Security and Rural Investment Act of 2002 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/7/3007">7 U.S.C. 3007</external-xref>), 10 percent of the funds appropriated under section 3 shall be provided to States for such administration costs.</text></subsection></section><section id="H010557453A414CAAA8FB9225DBF8661D"><enum>3.</enum><header>Authorization of appropriations</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">There is authorized to be appropriated to carry out this Act $1,000,000 for each of the fiscal years 2024 through 2028.</text></section></legis-body></bill>
