                                 A BILL


 
     To direct each State with an outstanding balance in excess of 
  $1,000,000,000, as of January 1, 2023, of advances from the Federal 
   unemployment account to submit to the Secretary of Labor a report 
        detailing how such State intends to repay such advances.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

    This Act may be cited as the ``Unemployment Trust Fund 
Accountability Act''.

SEC. 2. STATE REPORT ON REPAYMENT OF DEBTS TO UNEMPLOYMENT TRUST FUND.

    Not later than 90 days after the date of enactment of this Act, 
each State with an outstanding balance in excess of $1,000,000,000, as 
of January 1, 2023, of advances from the Federal unemployment account 
in the Unemployment Trust Fund under section 1201 of the Social 
Security Act (42 U.S.C. 1321) shall submit to Congress and the 
Secretary of Labor a report detailing how such State intends to repay 
such advances.
