<section id="HD41FF079B81F44B19E36947639E8B60B" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Daylight Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> <section id="H0C258C2E0E2C451A836F8E83B766655B" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Optional year-long application of daylight savings time</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 3(a) of the Uniform Time Act of 1966 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/15/260a">15 U.S.C. 260a</external-xref>) is amended—</text>
<paragraph id="HC9B14BAEE33A4C13A50FD3EE1CE37B0B"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by inserting <quote>or may by law apply the advancement of time described in this section for the duration of the year,</quote> after <quote>may by law exempt itself from the provisions of this subsection providing for the advancement of time,</quote>;</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="H9097CFDD16864BA4BD5F529AE7BD4021"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by striking <quote>the standard time otherwise applicable during that period</quote> and inserting <quote>the same standard time</quote>;</text></paragraph>
<paragraph id="H28617021799642CC95FB35117A2F8B9F"><enum>(3)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">by striking <quote>may by law exempt either the entire State as provided in (1) or</quote> and inserting <quote>, by law, may apply either standard time provided for in paragraph (1) to the entire State,</quote>; and</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="HB7936393B4FA4498B53258FADAD9A7ED"><enum>(4)</enum><text>by inserting <quote>, or may apply the advancement of time for the duration of the year to the entire area of the State lying within any time zone</quote> before the period at the end.</text></paragraph></section>
