and Mr. Webster of Florida) introduced the following bill; which was
referred to the Committee on the Judiciary, and in addition to the
Committee on Energy and Commerce, for a period to be subsequently
determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such
provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned

A BILL
To amend the Controlled Substances Act to exempt from punishment the
possession, sale, or purchase of fentanyl drug testing equipment.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the ``Secure Testing Resources Instead of
Prosecuting Act'' or the ``STRIP Act''.
SEC. 2. EXEMPTIONS.
Section 422(f) of the Controlled Substances Act (21 U.S.C. 863(f))
is amended--
(1) in paragraph (1), by striking ``or'' at the end;
(2) in paragraph (2), by striking the period at the end and
inserting ``; or''; and
(3) by adding at the end the following:
``(3) the possession, sale, or purchase of fentanyl drug
testing equipment, including fentanyl test strips.''.
