<section id="HF7CCF72EEC6B45198DEC7DF0E9E769BB" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>National Security Climate Intelligence Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> <section id="HC9B1103891EA463FA86967479376A274"><enum>2.</enum><header>Periodic national intelligence estimates on certain effects of climate change</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Title XI of the National Security Act of 1947 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/50/3231">50 U.S.C. 3231 et seq.</external-xref>) is amended by adding at the end the following new section (and conforming the table of contents at the beginning of such Act accordingly):</text>

<section id="H00B3BAFFAD1247B6BCFF1EBBE0074AD2"><enum>1114.</enum><header>Periodic national intelligence estimates on certain effects of climate change</header> 
<subsection id="H44345D41F9314531A4E0E329140EE941"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Requirement</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Not later than the date that is four years after the date of the enactment of this section, and on a basis that is not less frequent than once every four years thereafter, the Director of National Intelligence, acting through the National Intelligence Council, shall—</text> <paragraph id="H8333A7FC16374E1EA6DE225F95112E43"><enum>(1)</enum><text>produce a National Intelligence Estimate on the national security and economic security effects of climate change; and</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H139BCAC407E444248ED65F203A3DD84E"><enum>(2)</enum><text>submit to the congressional intelligence committees such National Intelligence Estimate. </text></paragraph></subsection> <subsection id="HAD8627418C8B4DF596B14A252F1C401A"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Form</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Each National Intelligence Estimate under subsection (a)(2) may be submitted in classified form, but if so submitted, shall include an unclassified executive summary.</text></subsection></section><after-quoted-block>. </after-quoted-block></quoted-block> </section>
