<section id="HE5D265BEBC6D4220AC05817F9C13D157" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Alaska Native Settlement Trust Eligibility Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> <section id="H68B07E005CF04052BAF310D630C3E8CE"><enum>2.</enum><header>Eligibility for certain programs</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 29(c) of the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/43/1626">43 U.S.C. 1626(c)</external-xref>) is amended, in the undesignated matter following paragraph (3), by striking subparagraph (E) and inserting the following:</text>

<subparagraph id="HD475916A33894F0A8E4153D9CBEF8222" indent="up1"><enum>(E)</enum><text>an interest in a Settlement Trust and, for the 5-year period beginning on the date of the enactment of the <short-title>Alaska Native Settlement Trust Eligibility Act</short-title>, an amount distributed from or benefit provided by a Settlement Trust to a Native or descendant of a Native who is an aged, blind, or disabled individual (as defined in section 1614(a) of the Social Security Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/1382c">42 U.S.C. 1382c(a)</external-xref>)).</text></subparagraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></section> </legis-body> <endorsement display="yes"> <action-date date="20241212">December 12, 2024</action-date> <action-desc>Reported with an amendment, committed to the Committee of the Whole House on the State of the Union, and ordered to be printed</action-desc></endorsement> </bill>
