R. 10483</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES</current-chamber><action display="yes"><action-date date="20241218">December 18, 2024</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="G000574">Mr. Gallego</sponsor> introduced the following bill; which was referred to the <committee-name committee-id="HIF00">Committee on Energy and Commerce</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title display="yes">To amend the Safe Drinking Water Act to provide grants under the Drinking Water Infrastructure Risk and Resilience Program for training programs relating to protecting public water systems from and responding to cyberattacks, and for other purposes.</official-title></form><legis-body id="H843ED9E7793C478A98C91C3EE884DE94" style="OLC"><section id="HC90B20AA6ED243368B2CA2E72EDDF66F" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Water Cybersecurity Enhancement Act</short-title></quote>. </text></section><section id="H5D966D1B5D35414C9506986DBC81C993"><enum>2.</enum><header>Community water system risk and resilience</header><subsection id="HA3B78894EF34463D91C6388B28779789"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Use of funds</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 1433(g)(2)(F) of the Safe Drinking Water Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/300i-2">42 U.S.C. 300i–2(g)(2)(F)</external-xref>) is amended to read as follows:</text><quoted-block style="OLC" id="H3299887EEA8F47328EE5CB7FBE250EC5" display-inline="no-display-inline"><subparagraph id="H822C062190194BC59F255D187AD78AFC"><enum>(F)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">participation in training programs, and the purchase of training manuals and guidance materials, relating to security and resilience, including—</text><clause id="H614503C5FBB240B9BC85BCC42CF35795"><enum>(i)</enum><text>protecting public water systems from cyberattacks; and</text></clause><clause id="HAAD949DF48A944C084CF2ED6BB5EACE7"><enum>(ii)</enum><text>responding to cyberattacks.</text></clause></subparagraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></subsection><subsection id="H497E6CB19F524B669881FAACE45CAE47"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Authorization of appropriations</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 1433(g)(6) of the Safe Drinking Water Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/300i-2">42 U.S.C. 300i–2(g)(6)</external-xref>) is amended by striking <quote>and 2021</quote> and inserting <quote>through 2030</quote>. </text></subsection></section></legis-body></bill>
