R. 10389</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES</current-chamber><action display="yes"><action-date date="20241212">December 12, 2024</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="D000530">Mr. Deluzio</sponsor> introduced the following bill; which was referred to the <committee-name committee-id="HIF00">Committee on Energy and Commerce</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title display="yes">To amend the Safe Drinking Water Act to adjust the limits for technical assistance, grants for small systems, and the authorization of appropriations for the Drinking Water Infrastructure Risk and Resilience Program.</official-title></form><legis-body id="H806A58F4788E438E9BC97801B1531778" style="OLC"><section id="H015E71D342FF4442B939B9EAC13B5217" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Water Authority Cybersecurity Protection Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="HD7D697B3CB344184A35B876384E14042"><enum>2.</enum><header>Drinking Water Infrastructure Risk and Resilience Program</header><subsection id="H5BA6852704E646DCA7CA59A57A5A4C53"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 1433(g)(1) of the Safe Drinking Water Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/300i-2">42 U.S.C. 300i–2(g)(1)</external-xref>) is amended by striking <quote>2020 and 2021</quote> and inserting <quote>2026 and 2027</quote>.</text></subsection><subsection id="H76DB6E0FFCF345C5BA331EBB04D17C10"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Technical assistance</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 1433(g)(4) of the Safe Drinking Water Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/300i-2">42 U.S.C. 300i–2(g)(4)</external-xref>) is amended by striking <quote>$5,000,000</quote> and inserting <quote>$10,000,000</quote>.</text></subsection><subsection id="H341E3082D05A4F7BAEC3124473678046"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Grants for small systems</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 1433(g)(5) of the Safe Drinking Water Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/300i-2">42 U.S.C. 300i–2(g)(5)</external-xref>) is amended by striking <quote>$10,000,000</quote> and inserting <quote>$20,000,000</quote>.</text></subsection><subsection id="H72BBA3B0BC9E41EA988BF530CB155F49"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Authorization of appropriations</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 1433(g)(6) of the Safe Drinking Water Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/300i-2">42 U.S.C. 300i–2(g)(6)</external-xref>) is amended—</text><paragraph id="HEE08FA06BBBC44AEBFAB7EE23F81B3D9"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by striking <quote>$25,000,000</quote> and inserting <quote>$50,000,000</quote>; and</text></paragraph><paragraph id="HEC553D4943544AD59E23995DD380B720"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by striking <quote>2020 and 2021</quote> and inserting <quote>2026 and 2027</quote>.</text></paragraph></subsection></section></legis-body></bill>
