RES. 49</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES</current-chamber><action display="yes"><action-date date="20220606">June 6, 2022</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="S348">Mr. Paul</sponsor> introduced the following joint resolution; which was read twice and referred to the <committee-name committee-id="SSFR00">Committee on Foreign Relations</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>JOINT RESOLUTION</legis-type><official-title display="yes">Providing for congressional disapproval of the proposed foreign military sale to the Government of Australia of certain defense articles and services.</official-title></form><resolution-body style="traditional" id="H9C2E52D41B6B4895AF900093904886AC"><section display-inline="yes-display-inline" section-type="undesignated-section" id="H989ECF5139D54D76ADB5C1A2622B7489"><enum/><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">That the following proposed foreign military sale to the Government of Australia is prohibited:</text><paragraph id="H3097CF3D5718499F8467A0E4F8AB6418"><enum>(1)</enum><text>The sale of the following defense articles and services, described in Transmittal No. 22–28, submitted to Congress pursuant to section 36(b)(1) of the Arms Export Control Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/22/2776">22 U.S.C. 2776(b)(1)</external-xref>), and published in the Congressional Record on May 26, 2022:</text><subparagraph id="id0BA9B1519A61490A9022860008FD8436"><enum>(A)</enum><text>The following Major Defense Equipment (MDE): Twenty (20) M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS). Thirty (30) M30A2 Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System (GMLRS). Thirty (30) Alternative Warhead (AW) Pods with Insensitive Munitions Propulsion Systems (IMPS). Thirty (30) M31A2 GMLRS Unitary (GMLRS–U) High Explosive Pods with IMPS. Thirty (30) XM403 Extended Range (ER)–GMLRS AW Pods. Thirty (30) EM404 ER GMLRS Unitary Pods. Ten (10) M57 Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS).</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="idF6DB970DE57C43C0B560B48D836431BA"><enum>(B)</enum><text>The following non-MDE: Reduced Range Practice Rocket Pods (RRPRP); Vehicular Intercom System (AN/VIC–3) 3-Station; radio communication mounts; machine gun mounts; battle management system vehicle integration kits; wheel guards; ruggedized laptops; training equipment publications; spare and repair parts; support equipment; tools; test equipment; technical data; U.S. Government and contractor support; technical and logistical support services; and other related elements of program and logistic support.</text></subparagraph></paragraph></section></resolution-body></resolution>
