<distribution-code display="yes">II</distribution-code><congress>117th CONGRESS</congress><session>1st Session</session><legis-num>S. 762</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES</current-chamber><action><action-date date="20210316">March 16, 2021</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="S365">Mr. Scott of South Carolina</sponsor> (for himself and <cosponsor name-id="S385">Ms. Cortez Masto</cosponsor>) introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the <committee-name committee-id="SSBK00">Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title>To provide the National Credit Union Administration Board flexibility to increase Federal credit union loan maturities, and for other purposes. </official-title></form><legis-body style="OLC" display-enacting-clause="yes-display-enacting-clause" id="HA882AFE96A114424BAB5D2C8057D8CC9"><section section-type="section-one" id="id5F48600D78744E3BA5797753DD46545C"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Expanding Access to Lending Options Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section section-type="subsequent-section" id="HCDF6B86057ED493FB2EF53C54210976D"><enum>2.</enum><header>Powers of Federal credit unions</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 107(5) of the Federal Credit Union Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/12/1757">12 U.S.C. 1757(5)</external-xref>) is amended—</text><paragraph id="id94FF88B107DF4CBBB6498191C8CAB3EA"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in the matter preceding subparagraph (A), by inserting <quote>or up to a term of 20 years as the Board may allow, in regulations</quote> after <quote>15 years</quote>; and</text></paragraph><paragraph id="idE9595698F8EF401F95884771066D9D26"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in subparagraph (A)(i), by striking <quote>or will be the principal residence of a credit union member, and which is</quote>.</text></paragraph></section></legis-body></bill>
