<distribution-code display="yes">II</distribution-code><congress>117th CONGRESS</congress><session>1st Session</session><legis-num>S. 654</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES</current-chamber><action><action-date date="20210310">March 10, 2021</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="S300">Mr. Burr</sponsor> (for himself and <cosponsor name-id="S384">Mr. Tillis</cosponsor>) introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the <committee-name committee-id="SSEG00">Committee on Energy and Natural Resources</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title>To reauthorize the Blue Ridge National Heritage Area, and for other purposes.</official-title></form><legis-body display-enacting-clause="yes-display-enacting-clause"><section section-type="section-one" id="S1"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Blue Ridge National Heritage Area Reauthorization Act of 2021</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="id2765063CE4B54A0E9BFBDCFF5CDD38BD"><enum>2.</enum><header>Reauthorization of the Blue Ridge National Heritage Area</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">The Blue Ridge National Heritage Area Act of 2003 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/54/320101">54 U.S.C. 320101</external-xref> note; <external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/108/108">Public Law 108–108</external-xref>; 117 Stat. 1274; 131 Stat. 461; 132 Stat. 661; 133 Stat. 778) is amended—</text><paragraph id="id73d69b8b97374733ab3829f81b81d1d3"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in subsection (i)—</text><subparagraph id="id244942BCEEEE494FAA5218AD214C82E3"><enum>(A)</enum><text>by striking paragraph (1) and inserting the following:</text><quoted-block style="OLC" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idF24DFCE18DD948D6AED6FF9EEAA89F49"><paragraph id="id15C0BFDD4A854CA28213C3A3B25A9437"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In general</header><text>There is authorized to be appropriated to carry out this section $1,000,000 for each fiscal year.</text></paragraph><after-quoted-block>; and</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></subparagraph><subparagraph id="id418D80E9B70A4B979BE41FB9A1F0C636"><enum>(B)</enum><text>in paragraph (2), by striking <quote>subsection (a)</quote> and inserting <quote>paragraph (1)</quote>; and</text></subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="id45e6340068c844b1b7f48070623fd205"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in subsection (j), by striking <quote>2021</quote> and inserting <quote>2036</quote>.</text></paragraph></section></legis-body></bill>
