<distribution-code display="yes">II</distribution-code><congress>117th CONGRESS</congress><session>2d Session</session><legis-num>S. 5255</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES</current-chamber><action><action-date date="20221214">December 14, 2022</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="S366">Ms. Warren</sponsor> (for herself, <cosponsor name-id="S397">Mr. Braun</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="S346">Mr. Lee</cosponsor>, and <cosponsor name-id="S363">Mr. King</cosponsor>) introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the <committee-name committee-id="SSAS00">Committee on Armed Services</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title>To streamline the budget process at the Department of Defense.</official-title></form><legis-body><section id="S1" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Streamline Pentagon Budgeting Act of 2022</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="id69DD898797EB4674BD86988DF9104CA1"><enum>2.</enum><header>Repeal of reporting requirements related to unfunded priorities</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline"><external-xref legal-doc="usc-chapter" parsable-cite="usc-chapter/10/9">Chapter 9</external-xref> of title 10, United States Code, is amended—</text><paragraph id="id38E4C9A5159D4059B68F06B2B82F661D"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by repealing section 222a;</text></paragraph><paragraph id="idB50CF63EDE6D4723AF1A54C2E00EAD7C"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by repealing section 222b; and</text></paragraph><paragraph id="id2DB6092260B2435FA01A1DC3FAFA4F0A"><enum>(3)</enum><text>in the table of sections at the beginning of the chapter, by striking the items relating to sections 222a and 222b.</text></paragraph></section></legis-body></bill>
