<distribution-code display="yes">II</distribution-code><congress>117th CONGRESS</congress><session>2d Session</session><legis-num>S. 4942</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES</current-chamber><action><action-date date="20220922">September 22, 2022</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="S346">Mr. Lee</sponsor> introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the <committee-name committee-id="SSEG00">Committee on Energy and Natural Resources</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title>To amend the Southwest Forest Health and Wildfire Prevention Act of 2004 to require the establishment of an additional Institute under that Act.</official-title></form><legis-body><section id="S1" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Watershed Restoration Initiative Act of 2022</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="id717AD2717C7C4995BA39B570F8DCF0C8"><enum>2.</enum><header>Additional Institute</header><subsection id="idF13FFC6B9A7743AA960366B32947DC66"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 5(b)(2) of the Southwest Forest Health and Wildfire Prevention Act of 2004 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/16/6704">16 U.S.C. 6704(b)(2)</external-xref>) is amended—</text><paragraph id="id237c71c358e54331b29799caee12a6b5"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in subparagraph (B), by striking <quote>and</quote> at the end;</text></paragraph><paragraph id="id0d0901de8dba4558a69928a61a92873e"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in subparagraph (C), by striking the period at the end and inserting <quote>; and</quote>; and</text></paragraph><paragraph id="idafc430a178e6485f8cbe076f6d9818bb"><enum>(3)</enum><text>by adding at the end the following:</text><quoted-block style="OLC" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id17FEA3D0CC1D480CB33D97FE3146D460"><subparagraph id="id17d6aedb881549cba9ed6a942978f520"><enum>(D)</enum><text>the State of Utah.</text></subparagraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="id69273E8A419B426784BE35905978C984" commented="no"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Conforming amendment</header><text>Section 5(e)(1) of the Southwest Forest Health and Wildfire Prevention Act of 2004 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/16/6704">16 U.S.C. 6704(e)(1)</external-xref>) is amended by striking <quote>and Colorado</quote> and inserting <quote>Colorado, and Utah</quote>.</text></subsection></section></legis-body></bill>
