Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``National Neurological Conditions Surveillance System Reauthorization Act of 2022''. SEC. 2. REAUTHORIZATION OF NATIONAL NEUROLOGICAL CONDITIONS SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM. (a) Reports to Congress.--Subsection (i) of section 399S-1 of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 280g-7a) is amended to read as follows: ``(i) Implementation Report.--Not less than every 2 years after the date of enactment of the National Neurological Conditions Surveillance System Reauthorization Act of 2022, the Secretary shall submit to the Congress a report concerning the implementation of this section. Each such report shall include information on-- ``(1) the development and maintenance of the National Neurological Conditions Surveillance System; ``(2) the type of information collected by the surveillance system; ``(3) the use and availability of such information, including guidelines for such use; ``(4) the use and coordination of data sources that collect or maintain information on neurological diseases; and ``(5) any upcoming expansions of the National Neurological Conditions Surveillance System to collect information with respect to additional neurological diseases.''. (b) Authorization of Appropriations.--Section 399S-1(k) of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 280g-7a(k)) is amended by striking ``$5,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2018 through 2022'' and inserting ``$10,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2023 and 2024, $15,000,000 for fiscal year 2025, and $20,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2026 and 2027''. <all>
