<distribution-code display="yes">II</distribution-code><congress>117th CONGRESS</congress><session>2d Session</session><legis-num>S. 4579</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES</current-chamber><action><action-date date="20220721">July 21, 2022</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="S408">Mr. Hickenlooper</sponsor> (for himself and <cosponsor name-id="S317">Mr. Barrasso</cosponsor>) introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the <committee-name committee-id="SSEG00">Committee on Energy and Natural Resources</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title>To amend the Energy and Water Development and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2015, to extend certain deadlines applicable to pilot projects to increase Colorado River System water to address effects of historic drought conditions, and for other purposes.</official-title></form><legis-body><section id="S1" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Colorado River Basin Conservation Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="id5B9AF2F8CBDF4DFE970161111E53FB47"><enum>2.</enum><header>Extension of certain deadlines relating to pilot projects to increase Colorado River System water to address effects of historic drought conditions</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 206 of the Energy and Water Development and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2015 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/43/620">43 U.S.C. 620</external-xref> note; <external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/113/235">Public Law 113–235</external-xref>), is amended—</text><paragraph id="idCD2E471BF27E4EC2A308A76786CD3683"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in subsection (b)(2)—</text><subparagraph id="idA1D5580DC05343E7ABC376956460605A"><enum>(A)</enum><text>by striking <quote>additional</quote>; and</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="id12E9AA3312B6456B96635C1CC8A2FF46"><enum>(B)</enum><text>by striking <quote>this Act</quote> and inserting <quote>the <short-title>Colorado River Basin Conservation Act</short-title></quote>;</text></subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="id173D2224454942B8B5D08077D64A30A6"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in subsection (c)(2), by striking <quote>2022</quote> and inserting <quote>2026</quote>; and</text></paragraph><paragraph id="idCF60139C3E954EBA8AB29A50A2EB9B58"><enum>(3)</enum><text>in subsection (d), by striking <quote>2018</quote> and inserting <quote>2027</quote>.</text></paragraph></section></legis-body></bill>
