<distribution-code display="yes">II</distribution-code><congress>117th CONGRESS</congress><session>2d Session</session><legis-num>S. 4565</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES</current-chamber><action><action-date date="20220720">July 20, 2022</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="S343">Mr. Boozman</sponsor> (for himself and <cosponsor name-id="S359">Mr. Heinrich</cosponsor>) introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the <committee-name committee-id="SSVA00">Committee on Veterans' Affairs</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title>To amend title 38, United States Code, to repeal the copayment requirement for recipients of Department of Veterans Affairs payments or allowances for beneficiary travel, and for other purposes.</official-title></form><legis-body><section id="id6d93b4ba6b63425db0add328ae40d793" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Repeal of copayment requirement for recipients of Department of Veterans Affairs payments or allowances for beneficiary travel</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 111 of title 38, United States Code, is amended—</text><paragraph id="id248F3FD150714DC69DDC7B3198428B5E"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by striking subsection (c);</text></paragraph><paragraph id="idFC2CBC58FF1449ECB11D04D700210461"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by redesignating subsections (d) through (g) as subsections (c) through (f), respectively; and</text></paragraph><paragraph id="idAEB851B1A3EB4FACB9C2D0B13B2EED7B"><enum>(3)</enum><text>in subsection (b)(1), in the matter before subparagraph (A), by striking <quote>Except as provided in subsection (c) of this section and notwithstanding subsection (g)(2) of this section</quote> and inserting <quote>Notwithstanding subsection (f)(2)</quote>.</text></paragraph></section></legis-body></bill>
