Newlands Memorial Removal Act</short-title></quote>. </text></section><section id="HB4BA08E06D3548E3A0B39CD936909F43"><enum>2.</enum><header>Removal of Plaque and Concrete from Memorial Fountain Grounds</header><subsection id="HC3037548D8354E358E00902D4C30A6B7"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Secretary of the Interior shall—</text><paragraph id="H49165BA84AF64BD698604B310075A2C9"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">remove the brass plaque bearing the name <quote>Senator Francis G. Newlands</quote> from the grounds of the memorial fountain; </text></paragraph><paragraph id="H6E9C78ED5E2F4834A0559E9A0C6D28CD"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">remove from the south end of the memorial fountain’s face, the stone, tablet-like projection bearing the name of <quote>Francis Griffith Newlands</quote> and a related inscription; </text></paragraph><paragraph id="HC429B11AC6594168B5FBB106EA37CA56"><enum>(3)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">remove the name <quote>Newlands Memorial Fountain</quote> carved into the upper face of the memorial fountain’s coping stones; and</text></paragraph><paragraph id="HCD589766C51F46CF895D71536575108C"><enum>(4)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">offer the items removed pursuant to paragraphs (1), (2), and (3) to the descendants of Francis Griffith Newlands for a period of 60 days, and if not claimed within that period, direct the items removed pursuant to paragraphs (1), (2), and (3) to be maintained by the National Park Service as Federal property and accessioned into the Rock Creek Park museum collection. </text></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H291446B05F7F4807AC291534165BFB15"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Memorial fountain</header><text>For the purposes of this section, the term <term>memorial fountain</term> means the memorial fountain located at Chevy Chase Circle, Connecticut Avenue and Western Avenue NW, in the District of Columbia.</text></subsection></section></legis-body></bill>
