<distribution-code display="yes">II</distribution-code><congress>117th CONGRESS</congress><session>2d Session</session><legis-num>S. 3470</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES</current-chamber><action><action-date date="20220111" legis-day="20220110">January 11 (legislative day, January 10), 2022</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="S378">Mr. Lankford</sponsor> (for himself and <cosponsor name-id="S376">Ms. Ernst</cosponsor>) introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the <committee-name committee-id="SSGA00">Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title>To provide for the implementation of certain trafficking in contracting provisions, and for other purposes.</official-title></form><legis-body><section id="id8ACD718BD593475A9CEF6129DC132F30" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>End Human Trafficking in Government Contracts Act of 2022</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section section-type="subsequent-section" id="idDD269C98B2F647EAA23479DF652488D1"><enum>2.</enum><header>Implementation of trafficking in contracting provisions</header><subsection id="idA98EC8F7076940B69BC0194A7A8B66F5"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Requirement To refer violations to agency suspension and debarment official</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 1704(c)(1) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2013 (<external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/112/239">Public Law 112–239</external-xref>; <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/22/7104b">22 U.S.C. 7104b(c)(1)</external-xref>) is amended—</text><paragraph id="id35AC318431ED45BA8E1D382683B2792D"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">by inserting <quote>refer the matter to the agency suspension and debarment official and</quote> before <quote>consider taking one of the following actions</quote>; and</text></paragraph><paragraph id="id8175A4283C09495C925196C27203ECCF"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by striking subparagraph (G).</text></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="id0A685371F6CE47D6835D4C073AAC4A8F"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Report on implementation of trafficking in contracting provisions</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Not later than 90 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Director of the Office of Management and Budget shall submit to Congress a report on implementation of title XVII of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2013 (<external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/112/239">Public Law 112–239</external-xref>; 126 Stat. 2092). </text></subsection></section></legis-body></bill>
