<distribution-code display="yes">II</distribution-code><congress>117th CONGRESS</congress><session>1st Session</session><legis-num>S. 330</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES</current-chamber><action><action-date date="20210212">February 12, 2021</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="S318">Mr. Wicker</sponsor> introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the <committee-name committee-id="SSVA00">Committee on Veterans' Affairs</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title>To appropriate amounts to the Department of Veterans Affairs to fund State home construction projects that have been approved before the date of the enactment of this Act.</official-title></form><legis-body><section id="S1" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>State Veterans Homes Relief Act of 2021</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="ide6b88360d8084311b8d2381e5f5b3a6b"><enum>2.</enum><header>Appropriation of amounts to Department of Veterans Affairs for State home relief</header><subsection id="id5c074e7340054106b6c5d3446b530985"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text>There is appropriated to the Department of Veterans Affairs, out of amounts in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, $500,000,000 to fund projects on the grant program priority list for construction of State homes under subchapter III of <external-xref legal-doc="usc-chapter" parsable-cite="usc-chapter/38/81">chapter 81</external-xref> of title 38, United States Code, that are approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs before the date of the enactment of this Act.</text></subsection><subsection id="ida25d7db655ce4fb581f41d94d2b40efb"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Supplement, not supplant</header><text>The amount appropriated by subsection (a) shall supplement and not supplant amounts appropriated or otherwise made available before the date of the enactment of this Act for the purposes described in such subsection.</text></subsection><subsection id="id8ac140edc9ab440c8dc36149afb47032"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Availability of amounts</header><paragraph id="idDCA5C63063394FA3B83298D738EE481E"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In general</header><text>The amount appropriated by subsection (a) shall remain available until December 31, 2021.</text></paragraph><paragraph id="idF3B922E8E5C8457BAF671EF072ED478A"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Remainder to Treasury</header><text>Any amounts appropriated by subsection (a) that are available after December 31, 2021, shall be deposited in the general fund of the Treasury.</text></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="id997ac371f2b94e01bb524319e589b4e6"><enum>(d)</enum><header>State home defined</header><text>In this section, the term <term>State home</term> has the meaning given that term in section 101(19) of title 38, United States Code.</text></subsection></section><section id="idc04e0cde51dc469991678a641759bdb4"><enum>3.</enum><header>Emergency designation</header><subsection id="id480ae2d8226f42b48103e6913e1257d0"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text>The amounts provided under this Act are designated as an emergency requirement pursuant to section 4(g) of the Statutory Pay-As-You-Go Act of 2010 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/2/933">2 U.S.C. 933(g)</external-xref>).</text></subsection><subsection id="id3561588046b14b22aef7acba0001964a"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Designation in senate</header><text>In the Senate, this Act is designated as an emergency requirement pursuant to section 4112(a) of H. Con. Res. 71 (115th Congress), the concurrent resolution on the budget for fiscal year 2018. </text></subsection></section></legis-body></bill>
