<distribution-code display="yes">II</distribution-code><congress>117th CONGRESS</congress><session>1st Session</session><legis-num>S. 3273</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES</current-chamber><action><action-date date="20211129">November 29, 2021</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="S413">Mr. Padilla</sponsor> (for himself and <cosponsor name-id="S221">Mrs. Feinstein</cosponsor>) introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the <committee-name committee-id="SLIA00">Committee on Indian Affairs</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title>To take certain land in the State of California into trust for the benefit of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians, and for other purposes.</official-title></form><legis-body style="OLC" display-enacting-clause="yes-display-enacting-clause" id="H0202466298744931BA375229CE310F98"><section section-type="section-one" id="HBFC36D22686B43CDBEFA6D65C20252A9"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Agua Caliente Land Exchange Fee to Trust Confirmation Act</short-title></quote>. </text></section><section section-type="subsequent-section" id="HAE5F59401D214C6CA23FD8D07E3EA6A7"><enum>2.</enum><header>Land to be taken into trust for the benefit of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians</header><subsection id="H08B84A3D58E74AF6884B112F02D90B27"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The approximately 2,560 acres of land owned by the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians generally depicted as <quote>Lands to be Taken into Trust</quote> on the map entitled <quote>Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians Land to be Taken into Trust</quote> and dated November 17, 2021, is hereby taken into trust by the United States for the benefit of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians. </text></subsection><subsection commented="no" id="HC2B3C3C8CBB2471A9BCC60E588C7E28C"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Administration</header><text>Land taken into trust by subsection (a) shall be—</text><paragraph commented="no" id="id7F093C868E974D76807C874644A23F0C"><enum>(1)</enum><text>part of the reservation of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians; and</text></paragraph><paragraph commented="no" id="id4430337594544A5886FCC9BA1C1C826D"><enum>(2)</enum><text>administered in accordance with the laws and regulations generally applicable to property held in trust by the United States for the benefit of an Indian Tribe.</text></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="HCA8C78B234584C849EAEED9701ED1A8B"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Gaming prohibited</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Land taken into trust by subsection (a) shall not be eligible for gaming under the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/25/2701">25 U.S.C. 2701 et seq.</external-xref>).</text></subsection></section></legis-body></bill>
