<distribution-code display="yes">II</distribution-code><congress>117th CONGRESS</congress><session>1st Session</session><legis-num>S. 3057</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES</current-chamber><action><action-date date="20211025">October 25, 2021</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="S311">Ms. Klobuchar</sponsor> (for herself, <cosponsor name-id="S361">Ms. Hirono</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="S221">Mrs. Feinstein</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="S324">Mrs. Shaheen</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="S394">Ms. Smith</cosponsor>, and <cosponsor name-id="S341">Mr. Blumenthal</cosponsor>) introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the <committee-name committee-id="SSJU00">Committee on the Judiciary</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title>To amend title 18, United States Code, to enhance criminal penalties for health related stalking, and for other purposes.</official-title></form><legis-body style="OLC" display-enacting-clause="yes-display-enacting-clause" id="HFDB3E1E30088487D8C78C6AEA2E52D78"><section section-type="section-one" id="HD62A023DA0444E35A6F9BFAA5536C23F"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Preventing Vigilante Stalking Act of 2021</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="HE36983A653B1477DB5C00468D2790646"><enum>2.</enum><header>Obtaining or interfering with the personal healthcare decisions of a woman</header><subsection id="H0D5C583A260245FAAB95149A6BD49092"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline"><external-xref legal-doc="usc-chapter" parsable-cite="usc-chapter/18/110A">Chapter 110A</external-xref> of title 18, United States Code, is amended by inserting after section 2261B the following:</text><quoted-block style="USC" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H619ACA9AC72F4DC1B64ECDE14D8751E3"><section id="H4D66191D5ACB4425BC0BE9D0C8134F36"><enum>2261C.</enum><header>Enhanced penalty for health related stalking</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">If a person commits an offense under section 2261A with the intent to obtain healthcare information of an individual or to prevent the healthcare decisions of an individual, the person may be imprisoned for up to 3 years, in addition to any term of imprisonment imposed for that offense under section 2261A.</text></section><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></subsection><subsection id="HEBA38C85B5D842F08D39B7D014748D02"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Clerical amendment</header><text>The table of sections for <external-xref legal-doc="usc-chapter" parsable-cite="usc-chapter/18/110A">chapter 110A</external-xref> of title 18, United States Code, is amended by inserting after the item relating to <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/18/2261B">section 2261B</external-xref> the following:</text><quoted-block style="USC" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HE9704558043F4176958AFF02D2E0C101"><toc regeneration="no-regeneration"><toc-entry level="section">2261C.
