App.) is amended—</text><paragraph id="id4e7a12d926b449e3859fc0cd54dace00"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in paragraph (1), by striking <quote>or the Director of the National Reconnaissance Office;</quote> and inserting <quote>the Director of the National Reconnaissance Office; or the Director of the National Institutes of Health;</quote> and</text></paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id65d4ee12ae224b92983f66c296909f2a"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in paragraph (2), by striking <quote>or the National Reconnaissance Office,</quote> and inserting <quote>the National Reconnaissance Office, or the National Institutes of Health,</quote>.</text></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="idc51a5af2a36747bb9e420fe517ec6ada" commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Appointment of Inspector General</header><text>Not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the President shall appoint an individual to serve as the Inspector General of the National Institutes of Health in accordance with <external-xref legal-doc="usc-act" parsable-cite="usc-act/Inspector General Act of 1978 /3">section 3(a)</external-xref> of the Inspector General Act of 1978 (5 U.S.C. App.). </text></subsection></section></legis-body></bill>
