<distribution-code display="yes">II</distribution-code><congress>117th CONGRESS</congress><session>1st Session</session><legis-num>S. 2648</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES</current-chamber><action><action-date date="20210805">August 5, 2021</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="S288">Ms. Murkowski</sponsor> introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the <committee-name committee-id="SSEG00">Committee on Energy and Natural Resources</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title>To amend the Omnibus Public Land Management Act of 2009 to reauthorize the Kenai Mountains-Turnagain Arm National Heritage Area in the State of Alaska, and for other purposes.</official-title></form><legis-body><section id="S1" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Kenai Mountains-Turnagain Arm National Heritage Area Reauthorization Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="id34AEE8BD33144EDAA316E76A519B1A2C"><enum>2.</enum><header>Reauthorization of Kenai Mountains-Turnagain Arm National Heritage Area, Alaska</header><subsection id="id8AAE91C1AF9D483B8190CAC346C06632"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Authorization of appropriations</header><text>Section 8010(h) of the Omnibus Public Land Management Act of 2009 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/54/320101">54 U.S.C. 320101</external-xref> note; <external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/111/11">Public Law 111–11</external-xref>; 123 Stat. 1287) is amended—</text><paragraph id="id46AB0348FA754A878D94479F4FBE48C4"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in paragraph (1), by striking <quote>Subject to paragraph (2), there</quote> and inserting <quote>There</quote>;</text></paragraph><paragraph id="id53F14458C693429A846C5FFDF3596457"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by striking paragraph (2); and</text></paragraph><paragraph id="id74D5DF014A6B4DC1AFDCCC766FE9FB54"><enum>(3)</enum><text>by redesignating paragraph (3) as paragraph (2).</text></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="idEDE35EB67992429E9259FD5B523B8BCE"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Termination of authority</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 8010(i) of the Omnibus Public Land Management Act of 2009 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/54/320101">54 U.S.C. 320101</external-xref> note; <external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/111/11">Public Law 111–11</external-xref>; 123 Stat. 1288) is amended by striking <quote>the date that is 15 years after the date of enactment of this Act</quote> and inserting <quote>September 30, 2036</quote>.</text></subsection></section></legis-body></bill>
