<distribution-code display="yes">II</distribution-code><congress>117th CONGRESS</congress><session>1st Session</session><legis-num>S. 2482</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES</current-chamber><action><action-date date="20210727">July 27, 2021</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="S057">Mr. Leahy</sponsor> introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the <committee-name committee-id="SSEG00">Committee on Energy and Natural Resources</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title>To amend the Champlain Valley National Heritage Partnership Act of 2006 to reauthorize the Champlain Valley National Heritage Partnership, and for other purposes.</official-title></form><legis-body><section id="S1" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Champlain Valley National Heritage Partnership Reauthorization Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="id4DB73A40D40B45E880B5BDCD837EEF3A"><enum>2.</enum><header>Reauthorization of Champlain Valley National Heritage Partnership</header><subsection id="id2E09EB3EF0494D1FBEAB50CC97269850"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Authorization of appropriations</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 288(a) of the Champlain Valley National Heritage Partnership Act of 2006 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/54/320101">54 U.S.C. 320101</external-xref> note; <external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/109/338">Public Law 109–338</external-xref>; 120 Stat. 1824) is amended by striking <quote>not more than a total</quote> and all that follows through <quote>any fiscal year</quote> and inserting <quote>$1,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2022 through 2036</quote>.</text></subsection><subsection id="id0A720722B9AD42B48F5DC8CFD9A93A87"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Non-Federal Share</header><text>Section 288(b) of the Champlain Valley National Heritage Partnership Act of 2006 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/54/320101">54 U.S.C. 320101</external-xref> note; <external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/109/338">Public Law 109–338</external-xref>; 120 Stat. 1824) is amended by striking <quote>50 percent</quote> and inserting <quote>25 percent</quote>.</text></subsection><subsection id="idFD03EAECBEF748E9823C854B36476FB8"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Termination of authority</header><text>Section 289 of the Champlain Valley National Heritage Partnership Act of 2006 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/54/320101">54 U.S.C. 320101</external-xref> note; <external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/109/338">Public Law 109–338</external-xref>; 120 Stat. 1824) is amended by striking <quote>on the date that is 15 years after the date of enactment of this Act</quote> and inserting <quote>on September 30, 2036</quote>.</text></subsection></section></legis-body></bill>
